The Doris Duke Charitable Foundation created a Performing Artists Initiative that provides up to $27.5 million to 100 well-established leading artists and up to $8 million for 100 emerging figures.
$14.5 million will go to administer the program and to fund an initiative where individual artists will pair with dance companies, theater companies, and performing arts presenters for four months of residencies for over two to three years.
